APERTURE

How does visibility shape our understanding of structure?

[CUR-06]

Layers of surfaces open and close, revealing glimpses of the structure beneath. As the windows shift, the relationships between the layers become clearer. The form does not change dramatically, but what we are able to see gradually builds a deeper understanding.

The Approach

Layers of surfaces shift between concealment and exposure as openings expand and contract across them. These moving windows reveal deeper parts of the structure, allowing the viewer to gradually see further into the form.

The Insight

As the openings change, the structure becomes easier to understand. The form itself remains largely the same, but controlled glimpses reveal how its layers relate to each other.

The Relevance

Complex systems often become clearer through partial access. Understanding can emerge not from seeing everything at once, but from carefully revealing one layer at a time.
