FLEXSTRIKEFLEXSTRIKE
A launch film for PlayStation’s FlexStrike fight stick, built around a voxel-based world inspired by 80s arcade culture, reflecting the speed and precision of competitive play.

PlayStation needed a launch film to introduce FlexStrike, a wireless fight stick designed for competitive play. The film had to communicate performance, precision and customisation while capturing the energy and culture of fighting games.
The challenge was balancing product messaging with a clear visual identity. The film needed to showcase key features without relying on traditional product demonstration, while still reflecting the pace and intensity of gameplay.

We developed a voxel-based world that shifts, breaks apart and re-forms in response to different aspects of the product. Drawing from 80s arcade aesthetics and a blue-led palette, the environment became the primary way of communicating performance.
Gameplay footage from Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls was integrated into the sequences, grounding the visuals in real play while allowing the environment to carry the product messaging.
Working from evolving CAD designs, the product was developed alongside the film. The system was built to adapt across multiple aspect ratios, ensuring the visuals translated consistently across platforms.

The final film presents FlexStrike through a cohesive visual language that connects product, gameplay and culture. The voxel world provides a flexible framework for communicating features while maintaining a clear identity across formats.
The result is a launch film that captures the energy of competitive play while introducing the product in a way that feels aligned with both arcade heritage and modern PlayStation design.
