Why

The project began as a study into rhythm, repetition and anticipation.

The aim was to create a sequence that holds the viewer in the present moment while building a constant sense of what comes next. Rather than focusing on narrative, the work explores how timing and release can shape attention.

What started as an experiment developed into a standalone piece.

How

We built the film around a viscous fluid simulation that moves between control and release.

The sequence begins with a kaleidoscopic pattern that shifts into geometric forms. The fluid is drawn into these shapes, creating a sense of tension before breaking free and flowing outward.

This cycle repeats in different variations, with each transition delaying resolution slightly longer. The pacing is closely tied to the sound design, reinforcing the rhythm and guiding the shifts between containment and release.

Outcome

The film creates a continuous sense of anticipation through repetition and variation.

By cycling between constraint and release, the work holds attention without relying on narrative, allowing rhythm and motion to carry the experience.
